Open-source tools and open datasets we release live here: self-hostable, auditable, and free
for anyone to run or build on. Much of it is aimed at the civic-tech stack itself, the CKANs,
DKANs, and the packages underneath them, since a public portal is only as trustworthy as the
dependencies it's quietly built on.
Research
Open-source supply chain census
A research project mapping what open-source software civic-tech and government open-data platforms actually run, CKAN, DKAN, and the libraries underneath them, and how well-maintained it is. Early stage; details to follow as the methodology firms up.
Planned
Upstream audit program
Security review work aimed at the widely-used open-source projects civic-tech and open-data portals depend on. Scope and first targets are still being defined.
Concept
Supply-chain observatory
A concept for an automated watch on the open-source packages the civic-tech ecosystem depends on most. Not yet started; outline to come.
